The BVA Hearing — Veterans Law Judge At The Board of Veterans Appeals

The Board of Veterans Appeals conducts hearings with a Veterans Law Judge. At the hearing, the veteran will testify (or refresh testimony from the DRO hearing) concerning the details of the disability and the precipitating event. After the hearing, the Board will affirm the denial from the Regional Office, can send the claim back to the Regional Office for a new review and Ratings Decision, or reverse the decision and grant benefits.

If the case continues to be denied, a further appeal can be taken to U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
