As some of you may already know, I love to run. I have always loved it even though I didn't run in high school or college (I played tennis). In 2001 spent my fall semester in Washington, D.C. during my time in college and all of the runners around there were gearing up for the Marine Corps Marathon. I never really gave running a marathon any thought, but this sparked my interest. I signed up for the Marine Corps Marathon and I ran my first marathon in 2002.
QR is honored to have sponsored the "Art in the Alley" reception last evening at The Palace Theatre. Art in the Alley, an innovative community project located between The Palace and The Union Trust building in downtown Greensburg, is an interactive art project featuring original works by "Incubator for the Arts" local and student artists. The project was funded by The Second Chance Fund, an endowment of The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County, in memory of Fred Cecchini and Kimberly Cecchini, family members of Vince, Michael, and Adam Quatrini.
We had a wonderful time cohosting "Healing Through Yoga," our last Road to Recovery seminar, with Angela of Red Brick Yoga! Attendees had the opportunity to work with Angela to develop calming breathing techniques, meditate, and pose for proper alignment. This interactive session greatly benefited attendees as they can take what they learned and apply it to their own lives on their own time!
Thank you to Dr. Samuels and Dr. Smith of Align Chiropractic Wellness Center for presenting at our second Road to Recovery Wellness Seminar! Attendees had a blast learning all about the healthy benefits of chiropractic care via Align's fun and interactive presentation.
When we say that QR attorneys know the law, we mean it! Today, for example, our Personal Injury Team -- Dennis Rafferty, Joyce Novotny-Prettiman, and Jessica Rafferty -- made a presentation to approximately thirty Westmoreland County attorneys about optimizing their clients' uninsured and underinsured motorist claims. In the continuing legal education presentation, "Untangling UM/UIM Auto Coverage," the QR legal team discussed verifying coverage, making a timely claim, and recognizing complicated policy exclusions. Big thanks to the Westmoreland Bar Association for hosting this event!
QR is proud to be a sponsor of the Green Luncheon. The Luncheon is held every September by the Citizens Advisory Board (CAB) to thank those who support our parks.
