Biography
James Miller is an Associate in the Personal Injury and Long-Term Disability practice groups. A former Mechanical Engineer, James combines precision and analytical thinking with compassion and advocacy. He works closely with clients who have been injured, whether that be guiding them through the Personal Injury process or assisting them with short- or long-term disability benefit claims.
Between earning his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and Law School, James worked as a Mechanical Engineer. James completed his J.D. at the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University. He began as a law clerk with Quatrini Law Group the summer after his first year of law school. He is a Member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. He volunteers with The Pittsburgh Pardons Project of the ACBF’s Pro Bono Center to clear criminal records through gubernatorial pardons, eliminating one of the most common barriers to housing, employment, and educational opportunities. In 2025, he was honored with the ACBF’s Law Student Pro Bono Award.
James resides in New Kensington with his wife and their tuxedo cat, Minnie. When he’s not practicing law, he enjoys hiking, cooking, hockey, 3D printing, and reading.
