Sponsoring Kids Chance of Pennsylvania Charity

Hi, I’m attorney Peter Gough. I am a certified Workers’ Compensation specialist and an attorney here at QuatriniRafferty. Welcome to QuatriniRafferty’s Legal Tip Tuesday. I’d like to talk to you today about a charity that’s near and dear to the heart of QuatriniRafferty. QuatriniRafferty sponsors Kids Chance of Pennsylvania.

It’s a charitable organization that provides scholarships to children of parents that were injured or killed as a result of a work accident in Pennsylvania. Kid’s Chance of Pennsylvania has provided scholarships to many, many deserving children who had financial need. In 2020, 2021, Kids’ Chance of Pennsylvania over 150 000 scholarships to over 50 students. Well since its inception, Kids’ Chance of Pennsylvania has awarded almost $2.5 million dollars in scholarships for almost a thousand students.

So how do you know if a child that you know would qualify for a scholarship? Well again, a parent had to have been injured severely or killed as a result of a work accident in Pennsylvania, and there has to have financial need; there has to be financial need.
