But mistakes are common, like wrong body parts, wrong injury descriptions, or filing your claim as “medical only.” These errors can limit your benefits, especially your future wage loss benefits. I’m Michael Quatrini and welcome to Legal Tip Tuesday. When someone’s injured at work, the employer and the insurance company are required to file paperwork with the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. So often, that paperwork doesn’t get filed or it has the wrong description of injury or wrong body part on it. More often than that, some claims are accepted as medical only and don’t recognize the fact that the individual may be entitled to lost wages now or in the future.
