Behind every successful Workers’ Compensation case is a dedicated team working to keep things moving smoothly. This week, Attorney Peter Gough is joined by Shannon and Suzy, two of the many hardworking paralegals and legal assistants who help clients every step of the way. Learn how quick communication and document sharing can make all the difference in your case.

Hi, I’m Peter Gough, and welcome to Legal Tip  Tuesday with Quatrini Law Group. I’m here, joined by the heart and soul of our Law Group.  Shannon, you want to say hi to the people. Hi, my name is Shannon. I’m Pete’s legal assistant.  I’m usually the person that you get on the phone first thing when you call into his office. I  take a lot of the documents and a lot of the information and forward it over to Pete  and make sure it’s saved in your file.
Suzy, you want to go next. Yeah. Sure. Hi, I’m Suzy. I’m one of the paralegals here at Quatrini Law  Group. And so, what I am responsible for doing is getting information from the  clients, getting it to the attorneys,
and making sure that everything is cohesive in  your file, and we know exactly where your case is.
Shannon, the only way we can have  a successful representation of the client is with your help. What do you think  that you need most of our clients to enable a quick and successful resolution to their issues? Yeah, I think the best thing is when the clients send letters or any documents that they get from  the Bureau or any documents that they get from adjusters, communications, or their employers.  If they send that immediately to us, we can best help them with their case. Get it saved to  the file and make sure that it’s taken care of.
And Suzy, what about you? What is crucial to your  duties so that we can make our clients happy?
A lot of times, a client might call in and want  to speak with the attorney, and while that’s OK, the attorney could be tied up in a deposition,  a hearing, or a mediation. So, if you’re able to give either myself, the paralegal, or the  legal assistant information, we can get that to the attorney much quicker. And maybe turn  around and get you an answer a lot faster than if you’re talking to the attorney themselves.  And to further elaborate on that a little bit, sometimes we can even answer a question if  it’s something that we’ve seen before. Many cases are very similar in procedure, and we have  seen this before, and we can give you a quick answer without having to talk to the attorney.
I’d like to say that I’ve worked with Shannon and Susy for many years, and they are fantastic  at what they do. I couldn’t be successful without them, but thank you for joining us  for Legal Tip Tuesday at Quatrini Law Group.
